NEW YORK — Yankees manager Aaron Boone laughed at it.

Boone had seen the video circulating on social media that showed his star slugger, Aaron Judge, blasting Frank Sinatra‘s classic “New York, New York,” when he walked past the Red Sox’s clubhouse following a 6-2 win at Fenway Park in Game 2 of the American League Division Series.

The song is played after every game at Yankee Stadium.

“It’s a good song,” Boone said at a press conference at the stadium Sunday. “And Aaron, he’s one of our resident DJs, so he’s got a pretty extensive playlist. I guess that’s the one that was going. We like to hear that song sometimes when we win a big game.

“I saw it. I think it’s fun. It’s something to talk about. But I think it’s just a good-natured whatever.”

Why is Hicks ‘peeing like crazy?’

And what if a Red Sox player walked past the Yankees’ clubhouse playing “Sweet Caroline?”

“I like that song too actually,” Boone said. “So whatever. I think both teams are really good, have a lot of respect for each other, and I’ll just kind of leave it at that.”

Judge was probably within his bounds to poke at Boston.

He has homered in each of the series’ first two games — both solo shots. On Saturday, he put the Yankees ahead, 1-0, in the first inning. On Friday, Judge went deep in the ninth inning off closer Craig Kimbrel, bringing the Yankees within one run.

Luis Severino, who will start Game 3 at Yankee Stadium on Monday, laughed when asked about it.

“I don’t know. You need to ask that question to Judge. I mean, I didn’t hear the music,” he said.
