Founded in 2005, NYYNEWS is the oldest independent New York Yankees–focused digital media platform in Major League Baseball. Long before social media drove the news cycle, NYYNEWS was built to provide Yankees coverage with substance—grounded in analysis, context, and a fan-first perspective that mainstream outlets increasingly moved away from.

Created by Manhattan native and Washington Heights–raised digital creator Felix Pantaleon, NYYNEWS emerged as a response to surface-level reporting and recycled narratives surrounding the Yankees. The platform earned its audience through consistency, strong search visibility, and timely, original coverage—growing organically alongside the modern digital media era.

Over the years, NYYNEWS has expanded beyond a single website into a broader Yankees media presence, including NYY.news and Yankees-focused video content. Along the way, the platform has also served as an early launch point for respected voices in the Yankees media space, including Pete Simonetti in 2006, now of NYY Underground. That legacy of cultivating independent, knowledgeable coverage remains a defining part of what NYYNEWS represents.
