Mike Ford. The built like a truck hitting machine. What does he bring to the table? Lets take a look.

Ford’s a 6’2″ 230 pound slugger! He projects to put up MASSIVE, MASSIVE #’s for the Yankees. Last year in just 50 games and 159 AB’s he batted .259 with 12 HR’s and 25 RBI’s. Very, VERY impressive. Batted over .300 the last month of the season as well.

When I put him into the simulator his #’s were unbelievable due to stadium effect and lineup effect. 1000 out of 1000 times over 30 Hr’s and 100 RBI’s for a full 550+ AB 150+ Game season. His best were .325 with 58 HR’s, and 142 RBI’s. Yankees stadium in full effect here.

He’s a great young bopper. He will only get better. He has a smooth Matt Stairs type swing and controls the strike zone. He’ll walk over 1560 times per full season.

He’s here to stay and the 1st ‘We Have Taken a Look At’ that we know for a fact will break ST camp with the Yankees.

For this season he projects to bat in 150+ game 550+ AB season: .300 with 37 HR’s, 123 RBI’s. A little less in the HR and RBI area’s could make sense.

Get used to Big Mike Ford as he’ll be here for the long haul. He’s a die hard lifetime Yankees fan living his dream. He’s the ONLY lefty POWER BAT the Yankees have. Get used to him.
