Lets Take a Look at Yet Another Yankees Prospect Who Will Debut THIS YEAR: Clarke Schmidt:

CLARKE SCHMIDT IS A TRUE ACE IN THE MAKING! The Yankees have the best pitching prospect in the game and its not even close! He is Clarke Schmidt!

Schmidt was the Yankees 1st Rounder in 2017 and has flown up the system do to being so MLB ready. Just needs polishing but can do that in the majors. He’s looked great this ST.

Schmidt is a 6’2″ 205 pound RHP. He has every tool needed in an ACE! Easy fluid motion. 95+ MPH fastball. 3 off speed pitches way above average. He projects at best to CLEAR ACE #’s of 25-1 with a 1.23 ERA, 281 K’s, 230 IP, and a WHIP of under .50. Just dominant stuff. His averages were 20-5 with a 2.50 ERA, 220 IP, 233 K’s, and a WHIP of just .68. Dominant ACE stuff still. HE IS 100% THE REAL DEAL!

Schmidt most closely compares to HIS TEAMMATE Gerrett Cole. Looks oddly similar to him as well. He is going to be a true ACE and if not traded will give the Yankees TWO Cole’s in ONE rotation.

He is the most polished pitching prospect in the game and the most ACE worthy prospect the Yankees have had sense Andy Pettite.

When abouts will we see him? THIS YEAR! Maybe even IN THE ROTATION out of ST! He’s that good and has looked that good thus far! Get excited for this kid as he’s as good a [prospect as they come. Were not going to see another one like this kid till Jack Lieter gets drafted in a few years.

PROSPECT SPOTLIGHT
Tyler Nunez, a C from Lake Nona HS, is a 6'2 190lb athletic catcher who provides strength with the bat and glove. During BP, Tyler stuck with a middle of the field approach while staying on a line. He impacted the ball well with his compact and direct path, T90EV. He showed off his real athleticism behind the plate by posting a 2.04 pop time while staying around the bag on every throw. He is a good looking athletic uncommitted catcher to keep an eye on.
