Yankees Bullpen Collapse: Who’s to Blame?

Yankees Bullpen Collapse: Who’s to Blame?
It is absolutely inexcusable that a playoff team, a team fighting for their postseason lives, has this lousy of a bullpen this late in the season. Let’s look at the ugly stats. The Yankees bullpen has the worst ERA among playoff contenders: 4.61. They’ve allowed 494 hits, 273 earned runs, 210 walks, and 74 home runs. That is historically bad. Since the trade deadline, the bullpen ERA is an even worse 5.71. Fans are furious, and rightfully so. And while we’re here, why is Ahmed Rosario not playing every day? He’s a proven hitter being treated like a bench piece when the Yankees need every offensive boost they can get. Moves like this don’t inspire confidence that this team can survive October baseball. So I’ll ask you: who’s to blame for this disaster of a bullpen? The numbers don’t lie. Leave your thoughts in the comments.
