About three weeks ago, Jack Curry of The Yes Network. (Yankees insider) Came out and said that The Yankees were OUT on Nolan Arenado.
As the off-season has progressed, Arenado’s name keeps popping up (by Yankees fans & insiders alike) on how he will be the logical fit for The Yankees at third base. Nolan recently turned down a trade that would of sent him to Houston.
With names like Ke’Bryan Hayes being mentioned recently & vouched for by Michael Kay.
Yesterday on his new show @RealMichaelKay talked about the Pirates 3B Ke’Bryan Hayes potential fit with the Yankees.

Many have dismissed the idea of trading for Pirates Ke’Bryan Hayes (Son of Former Yankee Charlie Hayes) as someone from the farm system could have a bigger impact offensively. Also, The obvious answer. Nolan Arenado
I don’t understand how people could not want Nolan Arenado for 3 years but then want Ke’Bryan Hayes for 5 years. Just doesn’t make much sense to me

Jack Curry also reported three weeks ago, that The Yankees were also out on Alex Bregman. But, Arenado remains a hot topic.
So what’s the hold up? Many say it’s the Yankees inability to trade away Marcus Stroman.

The New York Yankees have long been known for their aggressive pursuit of top talent, and trading for Nolan Arenado could be a game-changer for the team. Here are a few reasons why the Yankees should make this move:
1. Elite Defensive Skills
Nolan Arenado is widely regarded as one of the best defensive third basemen in baseball. His exceptional fielding ability and strong arm would significantly bolster the Yankees’ infield defense, making it even more difficult for opposing teams to get hits and score runs.
2. Powerful Bat
Arenado brings a potent bat to the lineup. With his ability to hit for both average and power, he would provide a much-needed boost to the Yankees’ offensive production. His presence in the lineup would create more scoring opportunities and put pressure on opposing pitchers.
3. Veteran Leadership
Arenado’s experience and leadership qualities would be invaluable to the Yankees’ young roster. As an eight-time All-Star and a seasoned veteran, he could mentor younger players and help instill a winning mentality within the team.
4. Contract Considerations
While Arenado’s contract is substantial, the Yankees have the financial resources to absorb it. His contract includes three years and $74 million, which is a reasonable investment for a player of his caliber. Additionally, the Yankees could potentially negotiate a deal that includes the Cardinals eating some of the contract, making it even more favorable for New York.
5. Competitive Edge
Adding a player of Arenado’s caliber would give the Yankees a competitive edge over their rivals. With his defensive prowess and offensive firepower, he would make the Yankees a more formidable opponent and increase their chances of winning the World Series.
6. Fan Excitement
Trading for a star player like Arenado would generate excitement among Yankees fans. His arrival would create buzz and anticipation. The energy and enthusiasm from the fans could have a positive impact on the team’s performance.
In conclusion, trading for Nolan Arenado would be a strategic move for the New York Yankees. His elite defensive skills, powerful bat, veteran leadership, and overall impact on the team make him a valuable addition. With the financial resources and competitive drive to make this trade, the Yankees should seriously consider bringing Arenado to the Bronx.
