Yankees’ Baby Bomber comes up big in 7-2 win in Toronto.
TORONTO — As always, Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar went to the plate in the seventh inning Thursday night looking for something good to hit.
The rookie sure got his pitch.

And with the game on the line, the Baby Bomber didn’t miss it.
The first pitch thrown by Toronto Blue Jays reliever Seunghwan Oh might as well had a “Hit Me” autograph in the sweet spot and Andujar put it in the left-field seats for his first career grand slam.
Just like that, the Yankees were up three runs and on their way to a 7-2 victory in the first of two this week at Rogers Centre.
What a debut season it’s been for Andujar, whose stats perhaps are somewhat overlooked only because fellow Yankees rookie Gleyber Torres has been putting up even better numbers.
Andujar was 2 for 4 on the night, raising his season average to .305 with seven homers and 26 RBIs in 49 games.
On a night the Yankees got a great start from CC Sabathia, they fell behind 1-0 when Teoscar Hernandez hit a sixth-inning rally, then roar back for four in the seventh.
Gary Sanchez, hitting with his average down to .199, started a rally with a line single to center off Blue Jays starter Marcus Estrada.
From there, Oh came on and hit Didi Gregorius with a pitch, then walked Aaron Hicks to load the bases for Andujar.
His homer was a no-doubt-about-it-, 426-footer that touched down in the second deck and the Yankees were up 4-1 courtesy of Andujar.
Just think, the Yankees were sure enough this spring that Andujar wasn’t ready to be a big leaguer that they traded for Brandon Drury in February.
Drury, as we know, went on the DL early in the season due to blurry vision, then he was optioned to Triple-A after regaining health because he’s been Wally Pipp’d by Andujar.
Sabathia had a very good night, too, as he limited the Jays to two runs and three hits in seven innings.
The Jays scored their runs on two solo homers, Hernandez’ high fly in the sixth that just made it over the wall in the left-field corner and Kevin Pillar’s jack to left-center in the seventh that made it a 4-2 game.
The Yankees added more breathing room in the eighth when Aaron Hicks hit a three-run homer to lefty Aaron Loup for a 7-2 lead.
NOTABLE
— Aaron Judge was out of the Yankees’ lineup the day after he set a Major League record by striking out eight times in a doubleheader. Judge was 0 for 9 with eight Ks and a walk on Monday when the Yanks split a pair in Detroit.”I talked to (Judge) about this probably before we went on this roadtrip, just with the stretch of games and a doubleheader mixed in there,” manager Aaron Boone said. “The fact that we rode him through a doubleheader, I just felt like getting in (to Toronto after midnight Tuesday), on the turf … he’s been a guy that obviously I’ve leaned on a lot. I just felt like it was a good time.”
— Didi Gregorius stole second base in the eighth inning to establisha new career high with his eighth.
— Tyler Austin was 1 for 4 with a gift single and three strikeouts as the Yankees’ DH.
