A’s announce unconventional starter for Yankees wild-card game

The Yankees are taking a chance with Luis Severino. The A’s are taking a much different chance with their wild-card “starter.” Reliever Liam Hendriks will start — as the opener — for Oakland in Wednesday night’s winner-moves-on game against the Yankees.
