Greg Bird calls clutch hit ‘a start’

The Yankees had just three hits in their previous 47 at-bats with runners in scoring positions when Greg Bird got to the plate in the second inning with Didi Gregorius on second. Bird, in particular, has been bad in those spots (2-for-24 with 11 strikeouts this season). This time, he singled off right-hander Julio Teheran….
