The New York Yankees host the Boston Red Sox in Game 3 of the American League Division Series on Monday, October 8, 2018 (10/8/18) at Yankee Stadium. Luis Severino will be on the mound for the Yankees. The Red Sox will counter with Nathan Eovaldi. The series is tied at one game apiece. The winner of the series will face the Houston Astros or Cleveland Indians in the American League Championship Series.

The Yankees and Red Sox resume their best-of-five American League Division Series on Monday at Yankee Stadium, which is tied a one game apiece. First pitch is 7:40 p.m.

Rain is in the forecast for the tri-state area, but according to the National Weather Service, the precipitation shouldn’t pose any problems:

Today: Patchy drizzle with isolated showers. Cloudy, with a high near 70. East wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Patchy drizzle with isolated showers. Patchy fog after 9pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 64. East wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Luis Severino will be on the mound for the Yankees. The Red Sox will counter with former Yankee Nathan Eovaldi. Rick Porcello had been scheduled to start Game 3, but was bumped back to Game 4, after pitching out of the bullpen in Game 1, a 5-4 Red Sox win at Fenway Park.

Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday at Yankee Stadium. Game 5, if necessary, will be Thursday night in Boston, Mass.

The American League Championship Series begins on Saturday. The Yankees or Red Sox will face the winner of the Houston Astros-Cleveland Indians ALDS. Houston leads that series, 2-0, and goes for the sweep on Monday.

In the National League, the Milwaukee Brewers completed the three-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies on Sunday.

They will face either the Atlanta Braves or Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. The Dodgers lead the series, 2-1, and will try to close it out Monday.
