BOSTON — Spike Lee hopes the Yankees do the right thing.

Lee told reporters he believes the Yankees will beat the Red Sox in five games in the American League Division Series.

“The hard way,” he said, sitting in the front row, next to the Yankees’ dugout, at Fenway Park on Saturday night.

Asked what he thought of Yankees sluggers Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton — who stand 6-foot-8 and 6-foot-7, respectively — Lee laughed.

“They’re some big (guys),” the “Blackkklansman” filmmaker said, using much more colorful language.

“And they can play!”

Judge’s workouts aren’t what you’d expect

Lee, 61, said he grew up a Mets fan but that changed in the late-90s, when stars such as Reggie Jackson and Willie Randolph were leading the Yankees to glory.

But Lee said he loved the 1969 Mets and rattled off players from that team. He added that he attended all three games of the 1969 World Series — and even ran onto the field three times.

He said he was happy to see the Yankees and Red Sox facing each other in the playoffs for the first time since 2004.

“We all know this: Lakers-Celtics. Red Sox-Yankees. USC-Notre Dame. Ali-Frazier. That’s what we want to see,” he said.

Lee also compared sports to making movies.

“The think about filmmaking is that, you’re like the (general manager),” he said. “You’ve got a movie with all great stars, remember that Lakers team? The one that had an All-Star (at every position) and it was terrible? It was terrible. You can have a movie like that, too.”
