A source familiar with The Yankees, reached out to NYYNEWS.com (Their credentials matched up with who they said they were.) And told me, that The Yankees are looking at the trade market first. Before even considering to sign Machado specifically. What does this mean? This means that The Yankees are still following their stay under the luxury tax approach. And have no intentions or ever had any intentions on signing big Free Agents like, Bryce Harper or Manny Machado.

As we saw in The James Paxton trade with The Mariners. The Yankees tried to have All Star Short-Stop Segura added to the deal. Which obviously would of assured that The Yankees were never in on signing Machado. This is still the case, the source that emailed me. Confirmed, that the Yankees prefer to find their answers via trade. And spend as little as possible this off season.

This might come to a shock for most Yankees fans, as they were told that The Yankees had big plans to spend in 2019.

As we have seen so far, with talk this off season concerning The Yankees. They would rather try to sign LH Pitcher Yusei Kikuchi of Japan. Rather than to cough up The Money it would take to sign Patrick Corbin.

All of this talk, points to one thing. My source being right, that the Yankees prefer to continue to stay under the luxury tax. While still remaining “Competitive.” Look for The Yankees to shell out The Most money, when it comes to The Bullpen. Unless something drastic happens, we won’t be seeing Machado or Harper in pinstripes anytime soon.
