UPDATED 2 p.m.: It’s still raining. A lot. The Weather Underground app says it could start to taper off from about 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. but then start again around 6 p.m.

Rain delayed the Yankees-Athletics matchup at Yankee Stadium on Sunday afternoon. It was supposed to start at 1:05 p.m.

Here’s the day’s forecast, via the National Weather Service:

This Afternoon: Rain. Steady temperature around 54. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 53. East wind 3 to 6 mph.

IN MEMORY OF: In a pregame ceremony today, the Yankees will make a $10,000 donation to the ALS Therapy Development Institute in memory of Gretchen Piscotty (mother of A’s outfielder Stephen Piscotty), who passed away last Sunday night due to ALS.
