The irony behind Yankees winning the trade deadline

The Yankees were made better and somehow have played worse. Zach Britton, J.A. Happ, Lance Lynn, Luke Voit and Andrew McCutchen have performed as well as or in most cases better than the Yankees could have expected. But the poor play of so much of the infrastructure that convinced the Yankees to go for it…
