‘Top choice’ Girardi takes himself out of running for Reds job

Joe Girardi still wants to manage again — just not with the Reds. The ex-Yankees skipper was Cincinnati’s “top choice” for the Reds managerial vacancy, but has withdrawn his name from consideration, The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reported Friday.
