BOSTON — Watch Yankees manager Aaron Boone explain what makes the Oakland Athletics so dangerous in the video above.

The Yankees will host the A’s in the American League Wild Card Game at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday.

Here’s Boone’s full quote:

“The A’s, when they came and played us in May, a little bit of a different team. But they had our attention then. We felt like they were really good. Obviously (Jed) Lowrie at that time — from the start has been having a great year for them. The emergence of guys like Khris Davis. Matt Chapman has become a star. Olson over at first. The strides (Marcus) Semien has made and then the call-ups they’ve had what (Stephen) Piscotty’s meant to them. And then they go out and really bolster the bullpen to add to (Blake) Trinen and those guys. This is a team, if they can get a lead, they can shorten that game on you. So, Oakland’s a really good team and a really dangerous team and we know we’ve got to play really well if we’re going to beat them.”

How’s Aaron Judge’s wrist?

The Yankees haven’t named a starting pitcher yet for the do-or-die contest.

It’s the third time in four years the Yankees will host the Wild Card. In 2017, they beat the Twins en route to a playoff run that ended in Game 7 of the AL Championship Series in Houston. In 2015, they lost to the Astros.
