KANSAS CITY — The Yankees made a roster spot after Sunday’s 10-1 torching of the Kansas City Royals that probably was very unpopular with some of their fan base.

Fan favorite Clint Frazier was optioned back to Triple-A just five days after his first call-up of the year and the day after the second-year outfielder looked pretty good going 1 for 2 with a double and two walks in his season debut.

Why was Frazier here and gone?
