If the Yankees want to win the World Series this year, trading for San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner is the key.

Go big or go home.

For the Yankees, the next eight weeks will tell the tale of the 2018 season. No, not what happens on the field. At this point, it’s pretty safe to assume the Yankees will hit, strikeout the opponent late in games and win–often.

Instead, the real focus should be on general manager Brian Cashman and to what lengths the front office goes to take the Yankees from juggernaut to World Series favorite in the loaded American League.

While names like Chris Archer, Cole Hamels and Michael Fulmer are all interesting, one possible trade target tops them all: San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner.

Yanks after RP?

Watch the video above for my thoughts on why the Yankees must go all-in to make the Giants an offer they can’t refuse for the postseason legend.

PROSPECT SPOTLIGHT
Tyler Nunez, a C from Lake Nona HS, is a 6'2 190lb athletic catcher who provides strength with the bat and glove. During BP, Tyler stuck with a middle of the field approach while staying on a line. He impacted the ball well with his compact and direct path, T90EV. He showed off his real athleticism behind the plate by posting a 2.04 pop time while staying around the bag on every throw. He is a good looking athletic uncommitted catcher to keep an eye on.
