As the Yankees and Red Sox get set for another showdown, which juggernaut should be looked at as the AL East favorite?
Get ready for a wild race, Yankees fans!
As the Red Sox come to town for a three-game weekend series, two of the best three teams in the sport are set to faceoff. But the implications go well beyond three games right before the Fourth of July.
Both Boston and New York are on pace for well over 100 wins, but one team is destined for a date in the one-game Wild Card playoff in October. The other will head to the Division Series with an AL East crown, and the guarantee of at least a five-game series in the dance.
With nearly half the season in the books, which team should be looked at as the favorite?
Watch the video above for my thoughts on the AL East and why one team should be favored over the other moving forward.
