BALTIMORE — The Yankees-Orioles game at Camden Yards was delayed due to rain Thursday, May 31, 2018.
The Orioles hadn’t announced when they expect the game’s first pitch.
There was a message on the stadium scoreboard telling fans to seek shelter due to a threat of lightning.
Here’s the forecast for the night, via the National Weather Service, which has issued a flash flood warning for the area:
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. South wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
