Bronx legend makes pitching change

Yankees legend Joe Torre He made the pitching change in the sixth inning of the game between New York Yankees vs Phillies 4 to 3  Carlos Rodón was great in this game.

Carlos will be the second starter in the Yankees’ second game of the season against the Houston Astros in a three-game series against Houston.

Opening day will be opened by Néstor Cortés since as we know Cole is injured and will not be able to start.

The game against Philadelphia Rodón was having a great game since he had not allowed hits or runs and well as it is a training game so if he could change it, even if he had a good game, the substitute was Ian Hamilton.

For veteran Carlos Rodón it was a change that took him by surprise since he never imagined that the one who was going to change him was a legend as important as Torre.

“I looked up and thought, ‘Oh, it’s Joe Torre.’ I should give him the ball,'” Rodon said. “It was great. Everybody knows who Joe Torre is and he got a standing ovation when he came out.”

“I was a little bit taken by surprise,” Rodón said. “I wanted to say, ‘Hey, get out of here,’ but it’s Joe Torre.”

Bronx Mules coach Aaron Boone also had praise for Torre.

“I’ve been working on it for a couple of days,” Boone said. “My first goal was to put him [in uniform], and that happened in quite a short time. I wasn’t sure I was going to do that, so it was awesome. These last two times I’ve been working on it with him. Today he said, ‘Okay, let’s go.'”

“What a pleasure to have him here these last few days,” Boone said. “Our guys loved it and I think Joe really loved it.”
